The Lady Gaga A Go-Go Exhibition in Paris

The Lady Gaga A Go-Go Exhibition in ParisSocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

I was recently invited by Paulina Leonor Lempicka to attend her Graphic Art Exhibit and other Artists showing their work in honoring Lady Gaga
at Gallerie Chappe on 4 rue André Barsacq, Paris 75018. However, I will
concentrate primarily on the work of Paulina and a short introduction
of multi-media artist Brisa Roché for this expose.

As I approached the Gallery, there was a huge line of fans waiting to get in, but as the Gallery was packed, they had to wait their turn to get

in. Many waited for several hours before they could catch a glimpse of
the wares that would unfold once they entered this wonderfully
spacious gallery.

I was fortunate to have been invited, so I politely walked in front of those waiting to get in without an invite and entered easily. There
was an eclectic panoply of humanity in attendance, from those looking
ultra conservative to the totally outrageous. A typical Parisian
opening...

As I congregated amongst the guests Paulina lunged forward grabbed my hand and introduced me to her mother, French Fashion Designer Lolita Lempicka.
She greeted me with the utmost dignity. I actually felt that I was in
the company of someone more regal who could have fit quick nicely in
to a 17th century Aristocratic soirée at the Petite Palais in Paris,
than in a 18th arrondissement Gallery in Montmartre. None the less, it
was a short but sweet encounter.

I was also able to speak with Paulina more profoundly which I am pleased I did, as I discovered a bit more about her interest in her craft,
which you can view in the video below. I also spoke with the curator
of the exhibition Alexandra Boucherifi as well as gallery owner
Alexandre Gilbert. I also briefly spoke with Multi-Media Artist Brisa
Roché whom I plan on doing a more comprehensive interview with.

The Artists showing are Paulina Leonor (Lempicka), Brisa Roché, Harvey Ambomo Lady K, Artus de Lavilléon, Marc Sich, Arnaud Pagès, Gwenael
Billaud, Ilona and Orlan.

3 smashing skirts: Lafayette 148, Cynthia Steffe & Robert Graham….

3 smashing skirts: Lafayette 148, Cynthia Steffe & Robert Graham….SocialTwist Tell-a-Friend

It’s interesting how you can walk inside a thrift store and walk out with 3 skirts from 3 very well known labels and not go broke doing so. The first skirt I scored was this black / white floral cotton skirt by Lafayette 148 New York and this skirt can go either way, it can be so comfortable casual or so sassy sophisticated. Second skirt is the the green
abstract flower print by Cynthia Steffe.
The print on this skirt looks like it came from vintage wallpaper which
I think is so glam but glam is Cynthia Steffe’s middle name. Third
skirt is the striped Robert Graham
and it’s short with a touch of sweet. This is the thing that always
blows me away, each one of these skirts are sold in expensive high end
department stores like Saks, Neiman Marcus or Bloomingdales and ended up
getting them in pristine condition while out thrifting and saving the
planet in a thrift store. When consumers make the choice of buying
clothes from thrift stores they are shopping ‘green’ and being eco
friendly and that my dear is very STYLISH. All items on my blog are
for sale so please email me for details and click on and stop by my new
boutique doubletake when in Atlanta. Follow me daily on Twitter & friend me on Facebook so we can connect and click on and watch my YouTube channel. Toodles for now. Daniel

Parisian shopping spree with Serena and Blair!!

Pesty Jenny that makes her so annoyingly Great

She just loves creating havoc with the best intentions. Her off-Goth gives her that bad girl aura, I want to keep her that way...

I would have chosen this little number in an off-white for Jenny instead of pure white.

Valentino
